Crane (Indiana) – Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has awarded a task order worth more than $34 million to Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI). The company will support the serviceability and readiness of missile assets. Work will be performed in Alabama and at NSWC Crane. SAIC broke ground last July on a $4 million facility at the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park. Source: Inside Indiana Business San Diego, Calif. and McLean, Virg. -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a task order by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, Ind. Under the task order, SAIC will provide technical, engineering and data management services in support of the Missile Defense Agency. The task order has a two- year base period of performance, three one-year options and a maximum value of more than $34 million if all options are exercised. The task order was awarded under the Seaport-e contract. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala and at NSWC Crane. SAIC will provide technical, engineering, data management, logistics and project management support to help maintain the serviceability and readiness of missile assets. SAIC will also help manage information databases for the Consolidated Missile Assets Reuse for Targets (CMART) Program.
